When your children get married it is an exciting life event and milestone marking the birth of a new family as well as the olive branch of a legacy. Both are biblically true. When your children grows up, enters into adulthood, and then choses a spouse, they will need to “leave and cleave.” It’s a biblical principle that is God-designed and ordained. Many parents struggle to let their kids “go”; it’s true, but as we aspire to be biblical parents and now in-love’s (as opposed to in-laws), we have a choice to walk out this new season in a way that brings more fruit in relationships as well as support for the new couple and family, but in a way that brings God glory, stays true to biblical truth, while also letting the said newly wed couple build THEIR life and family!
